Comparating of nursing education in intensive care between Czech and Slovac republic

This thesis is concerned with comparing the education of nurses working in intensive care in the Czech and Slovak Republics. In the theoretical part of the thesis there are described the options for nursing education in anaesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care, both in the past and at present. Presented here is the comparison of the Czech and Slovak educational system, regulation of education, their similarities and differences. The aim of the empirical part is to find out what kind of education are nurses working with in the intensive care, what is their motivation to further education and to look at the current possibilities of nursing education in anaesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care in the Slovak and Czech Republic. To obtain the data for answers to these and other questions the questionnaire has been used; specifically the methods of quantitative research. The results are processed in tables and graphs. Historical development of the profession of Nutritional therapist

This bachelor's thesis maps the development of professionalization of nutritional therapists and their predecessors. The attention is paid specially to the relation to other medical disciplines (public health protection, nursing care, medical science), and the thesis also outlines the development of nutrition care from the point of view of these professions. Furthermore, it deals with the questions of the titles and content of this profession, its regulation, related education and professional association. The thesis is of theoretical nature and applies in particular the method of historical research. It is grounded especially on sources from previous literature, contemporary professional journals and magazines, interview with witness and information from other sources. With the aim of providing a comparison with relevant historical information, it describes the current position of nutritional therapists, in particular the possibilities for studying the discipline, competencies and professional career.
Motivation and attitudes of students to study at the master's program of Intensive Care

The thesis deals with the perception of the education's quality of the master's degree program of Intensive Care (NMgr. IC) at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University (1st LF UK) of current and former students towards their motivation and attitudes. It is processed in two parts within the specified topic of the thesis motivation and attitudes of students to study in NMgr. IC at the 1st LF UK. Introduction to the topic is focused on motivation and attitudes to study, qualification, specialization, continuous and higher education, to the list of educational opportunities in the field of intensive care, the competencies and their comparison with nurses and nurses in intensive care. The research is devoted to explore the perception of the education's quality for students and graduates of NMgr. IC at the 1st LF UK in conjunction with other aspects. It contains the empirical quantitative research, which was carried out by an anonymous online questionnaire distributed via e-mail. The obtained data were analyzed by mathematical statistics and are presented in graphs or tables. In the study participated 22 of the 44 students in the 1st and 2nd year and 26 of the 87 surveyed graduates of NMgr. IC at the 1st LF UK. Total research sample consisted of 48 respondents. This thesis deals with the development of education in anesthesiology and intensive care in the Czech Republic. The operational objective of the historical-theoretical thesis is to explore specialized education in the field of intensive care from its roots to the present. At the beginning of the thesis describes the development of the field of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, also are given information about the work of nurses, including their competencies in this field before the official introduction of specialized study. The following chapters are devoted specialized education from 1971 to 2013. Each of these chapters ends with a list of competencies of nurses, which are then compared. The thesis is the comparison of specialized study from 1971 to 2013. The thesis also deals with the development of the field paramedic and informs about current possibilities of specialization in intensive care and specialization at universities with their comparison.
Specialized education of general practitioner for children and adolescents in the Czech Republic

This dissertation" Specialized education in the field of practitioners for children and adolescents in the Czech Republic " focuses on the development of specialized postgraduate medical uducation in the context of social change in the Czech Republic after 1989 and their impact on staffing in the field of health care practitioners for children and adolescents . The first part describes the theoretical and factual basis , which is closely related to the issues . These concepts explained the functioning and development of the health system, providing primary care by practitioners for children and adolescents, impact of transformation of the labor market and human resources in health care and human rights in health care. To analyze the empirical part of the thesis i used the method of historical institutional analysis. I explained formal and informal relationships in time cohorts between major actors and their influence in shaping the institutional framework of specialized education of physicians over time, especially in the legislative documents.
